About the Cal Poly Alumni Association

CPAA's Mission

The Cal Poly Alumni Association seeks to engage and serve alumni; to foster a lifelong connection between the University and its alumni; and to foster goodwill and support for the University.

Alumni activities date back to Cal Poly's early years. The first alumni president was appointed in 1907, during Cal Poly's early years as a school. Today, the association includes more than 150,000 members and 15 regional and special interest chapters. All alumni of Cal Poly are members and enjoy the ongoing connection to the University.
